Monthly Recap
- I started a Now page! A page that I’ve seen around the internet and really like, but I’ve had trouble getting it to stick for me. However I’ve stumbled across a few monthly formats (my biggest inspiration coming from Maggie Appleton). This seemed a lot more attainable to me then a semi-static page that I needed to remember to update every now and again.
- ** What is movie night? Every week (-ish, as best we can) my bestie and I do a cross-country Sunday Movie Night (she being in New York and myself being in Washington State). Well, given the time zones it’s more of a Movie Early Evening for me.We pick a movie, queue it up, and spend the movie chatting away. We often pick a movie last-minute. We often pick Wine Country (a wildly underrated (IMO) comedy starring several female comedian powerhouses). I usually make some popcorn. I’ve thought about trying to theme it to our movie, but I rarely do. I do often eat nearly all of it before we start. This is also my dog’s favorite night, because I’m a superbly messy popcorn eater.
- I’ve been biking a lot more! I’ve been slowly influenced by other artists I follow who often talk about their love of bikes (namely Austin Kleon and Lisa Congdon). I’m also being slowly but surely influenced by my small mountain biking town (though mountain biking isn’t really on my radar, yet). I signed up for Tour De Whatcom, a local bike tour, at the end of July. It’s 44 miles which to the bike world is pretty small, but to getting back into the biking world is quite a bit. So, as a result, I’ve been biking more.
